The UFM-868-GS, UFM-868-GS(X) ultrasonic flowmeters are designed to measure the velocity, volumetric flow rate (volume) of natural and associated gas, and the mass flow rate (mass) of water steam.

The devices consist of ultrasonic transducers (ultrasonic sensors) installed on the flowcell with flanged connections and an electronic module.

Ultrasonic transducers can be installed directly on the flowcell, as well as using a lubricator-type extraction tool. An ultrasonic transducer is a piezocrystal mounted inside a cylindrical steel housing. The connection of the ultrasonic transducer to the electronic module is made inside an explosion-proof enclosure in which a preamplifier can be placed.

The operating principle of flowmeters is based on determining the time difference between ultrasonic pulses traveling with and against the flow of the working fluid.

Flow meters are available in different configurations according to the pipeline connection method:

·                     spool piece with flange connections

·                     on-site mounting on the existing pipeline

The UFM-868-GS and UFM-868-GS(X) flowmeters are designed to measure the velocity, volumetric flow rate (volume) of saturated and superheated steam.

The flowmeter's software is embedded within its hardware. The conversion of measured values and the processing of measurement data are performed using internal hardware and software. The software is stored in non-volatile memory.
